Waterpark Simulator Slide & Ride Tier List & Attractions Reference
Waterpark Simulator does not give you a fixed catalogue of named rides. You design slides piece-by-piece in the build menu — tuning curves, drops, loops, funnels, and spirals to your taste. That means there is no single "best slide" to unlock; instead, the strategic question is which attraction types earn their keep.
This guide combines the fast-scroll attraction reference table (unlock, cost, capacity, upkeep) with the tier ranking (profit per guest, popularity draw, upkeep burden). It reflects the 1.0 release (July 31, 2026) and community reports from Early Access. Last updated August 8, 2026.

Reading the Table
- Build Cost — "Low" types are affordable in your first days; "Very high" types need a sustained profitable streak. Museum slides additionally cost the questline currencies earned from the three Museum NPCs.
- Capacity — a rough guest-per-hour figure. Wave pools and lazy rivers move big crowds; that is great for ticket revenue and terrible for a park without staff.
- Upkeep / Risk — the hidden tax. Every attraction needs repairs (hammer) and cleaning (mop/water gun). Safety risks (diving boards, empty pools) convert directly into ambulance fees and bad reviews.
- Rating Impact — the contribution to your star rating, which is the master lever for ticket prices.
The Tier List
S-Tier — Your Park's Backbone
| Attraction | Why It's S-Tier | Watch Out For |
|---|
| ------------ | ----------------- | --------------- |
| Custom Mega-Slides (loops, funnels, tall multi-story) | The flagship earners. Big, thrilling slides draw the biggest crowds, justify premium ticket prices, and are the main reason guests tell their friends. | Expensive and slow to build; needs constant repair and a big cleaning loop. |
| Wave Pool | The best crowd magnet per square meter. Huge capacity, huge popularity draw, unlocks as your profits grow. | Pushes your guest count up fast — you need staff and cleaning coverage before building it. |
A-Tier — Reliable Earners
| Attraction | Why It's A-Tier | Watch Out For |
|---|
| ------------ | ----------------- | --------------- |
| Lazy River | High guest throughput, almost zero safety risk. Guests ride it for a long time, which drains queue pressure off slides and keeps them buying food. | Takes space; make it flow well or guests get stuck. |
| Kids' Splash Zones | Draws family groups, which buy tickets AND food across the park. Young guests are happy and safely contained. | Low revenue per individual guest — it's a group-draw play. |
| Diving Boards | Cheap, fast to place, genuinely popular. | Safety: cannonballing guests get hurt. Keep pools full and life rings nearby, or ambulance fees eat the profit. |
B-Tier — Situational
| Attraction | Why It's B-Tier | Watch Out For |
|---|
| ------------ | ----------------- | --------------- |
| Food & Drink Stalls (hot dog, lemonade, popcorn) | Not rides, but among the best profit-per-square-meter in the game. Hot dog stands restock cheaply; lemonade sells at a high margin; 1.0 adds the popcorn stand. | Staffing and restocking; queue management near the entrance. |
| Vending Machines | Hands-off profit with zero staff. Lower margins than staffed stalls, but they never take breaks. | Only worth it once foot traffic is dense. |
| Museum Theme Slides (Ocean, Aztec, Pirate) | Huge novelty draw and a major park-rating boost — the reward for completing each Museum questline. | Massive time investment (the whole Museum questline per theme) — strictly endgame. |
C-Tier — Filler & Convenience
| Attraction | Why It's C-Tier |
|---|
| ------------ | ----------------- |
| Standard Small Slides | Fine when that's all you can afford. Once wave pools and mega-slides unlock, these become cleaning time sinks. |
| Ziplines (1.0) | Fast travel and atmosphere. They carry few guests and earn almost nothing directly. |
| Fountains, Palm Trees, Umbrellas, Benches | Pure decor and seating. Worth it for happiness and themes — not for revenue. (Upgraded benches let guests sit and recover energy, which keeps them in the park longer.) |
How to Read This List
- S and A tiers are where your money is made. Plan your park around one S-tier centerpiece (a mega-slide or wave pool) and support it with A-tier throughput rides.
- B-tier food and vending are not rides but should be placed near every high-traffic area — they are often the difference between profit and loss.
- C-tier is for atmosphere, themes, and convenience. Build it last, with spare cash.
- The Museum theme slides are the strongest specific items in the game, but their questline cost drops them to B-tier in overall value per hour.
What to Build, In Order
| Phase | Build Priority |
|---|
| ------- | ---------------- |
| Day 1-2 | 1 pool, 1 small slide, 1 hot dog stand, trash cans at every junction |
| Week 1 | Diving board, lemonade stand (research), second small slide |
| Week 2-3 | Lazy river or splash zone, vending machines, upgrade hammer |
| Once profitable | Wave pool or custom mega-slide — one centerpiece at a time |
| 2.5 stars+ (1.0) | Museum questlines → theme slides; night mode; popcorn stand |
| Endgame | All three Museum theme slides, zipline network, max-tier park |
Tier List Philosophy — Why Types Beat Names
In games with fixed ride catalogues, tier lists name individual rides. In Waterpark Simulator, two "small slides" can perform completely differently depending on how you design them — a short gentle slide into a shallow pool vs. a tall spiral into a wave pool. Your design skill matters more than any unlock. As the community figures out the strongest slide archetypes (height, loop count, funnel position), we will add a design-tier section to this page.
Notes & Known Gaps
- Exact in-game price and upkeep numbers for each attraction type have not been published by CayPlay and are not yet fully documented by the community. The table above is type-level guidance from 1.0 gameplay reports — we will fill in exact numbers as they get verified.
- Early Access players received a special in-game gift that is not obtainable through normal progression.
- Slide Pass ticket add-ons pair best with parks that have at least one S-tier slide — guests pay extra for slide access only when the slides are worth it.
