Museum Questline Walkthrough — All NPCs, Currencies & Rewards

The Museum is the flagship content of the Waterpark Simulator 1.0 update — a new building across the street from your park, three quest-giving NPCs, three themed research trees, and a massive waterslide at the end of each. This walkthrough covers everything, in order.

Last updated August 8, 2026 (1.0).

How to Unlock the Museum

  1. Reach 2.5 stars on your park's star rating.
  2. You will get a pop-up notification about the new attraction. If it does not appear immediately, keep playing — some players only saw the message after progressing toward 3 stars for a while.
  3. Exit your waterpark and head to the left side — the Museum building is right across the street.
  4. Enter it anytime to start quests or browse decor.

The Three NPCs and Their Questlines

Poseidon'tOcean & beachCoral, sea life, ocean poolsOcean currency (per-quest rewards)
Clara LoftAztec & MayanCarved stone temples, Aztec decorAztec currency

Each NPC offers a dedicated questline with its own currency. You spend that currency at the Research Bench inside the Museum to unlock themed decorations and games — and each theme's research tree ends in a massive waterslide (and, per 1.0 reports, the ultimate pool for the theme).

Quest Mechanics

--------------
One quest at a timeOnce you accept a quest from an NPC, you must complete it before taking another — from that NPC or anyone else in the Museum
Quest types are randomMostly park maintenance and visitor management tasks, similar to your main questline
DifficultyNot particularly hard — you do them alongside normal park operations
Turn-inReturn to the NPC to complete the quest and earn the theme currency

Tips for Completing Museum Quests

  1. Start early. Pick up Museum quests as soon as they unlock (2.5 stars) so currency accumulates across your run — the theme trees are long.
  2. Visit at off-hours. Go before opening the park or during closing. In co-op, have a friend watch the park while you handle the Museum.
  3. Prepare before leaving. Solo players: put workers at stalls and the ticket counter before heading across the street, and try to complete + turn in the quest before the day ends.
  4. Stick to one theme. They are all equal in content — commit to one so its research tree completes faster.
  5. Don't ignore the main park. Museum tasks are maintenance-flavored; a messy park makes them take twice as long.

The Research Bench & Theme Trees

Inside the Museum, the Research Bench works like your office Research Table but uses theme currency instead of research points:

Ocean theme tree → coral pools, sea-life decor → Ocean Mega-Slide

Aztec theme tree → temple decor, carved slides → Aztec Mega-Slide

Pirate theme tree → ship decor, pirate games → Pirate Mega-Slide

Each tree's endpoint slide is the largest single attraction in the game and gives a major park-rating boost plus a customer draw — the reason to finish a theme.

The Yogi — Endgame Quests

After completing all three Museum NPC questlines, a special NPC called the Yogi appears (standing in front of the Museum). His quests are mostly about purchasing and building more intricate, expensive equipment for your park — the true endgame content list, one quest at a time.

Is It Worth It?

Yes — with one honest caveat:
  • Completing all Museum quests and unlocking most of one theme's decor gets you close to that theme's ultimate waterslide and pool. Building it boosts customers and significantly improves your park rating.
  • The caveat: some players find the quest system repetitive — a common complaint in Steam reviews is that it feels like a "to-do list" roadblock to new content. It is busywork-flavored, but the rewards (giant themed slides) are unique and can't be bought any other way.
