Waterpark Simulator visitor management guide — every guest need, troublemaker type, safety hazard, and the solution table that keeps happiness and your star rating high in 1.0.
Visitor Management & Happiness Guide
Happiness is the hidden economy of Waterpark Simulator. Happy guests stay longer, buy more food, leave better reviews, and drive your star rating — which is the master lever for ticket prices. This guide is the reference for every guest need, every troublemaker, and the fixes that keep your park running green.

What Guests Actually Need
| Need | What Drains It | The Fix |
|---|---|---|
| ------ | ---------------- | --------- |
| Clean water | Puddles, dirty pool water, trash in pools | Mop constantly; keep pool filters/water clean; never let pools run empty |
| Clean surroundings | Trash, graffiti, overflowing bins | Trash cans placed with the arrow facing guest flow; full bags; janitor (Hiring Level 2) |
| Functioning attractions | Broken slides, stalls, pools | Hammer repairs — nightly at closing is the pro habit |
| Safety | Empty pools (cannonball injuries), panicking guests, unattended diving boards | Refill pools manually; life preservers in every pool; lifeguards |
| Food & drink | Long stall queues, empty stalls | Restock before opening; staffed stalls; vending machines as backups |
| Rest | Tired guests | Benches — upgraded benches let guests sit and recover energy (Park research) |
| Fair pricing | Wrong ticket type sold, overpriced entry for your star level | Cashier (sells correct passes); price to your star rating |
Guest Types That Need Attention
| Guest | How to Spot | Danger | Response |
|---|---|---|---|
| ------- | ------------- | -------- | ---------- |
| Ticket cheater | No bracelet on wrist | Zero revenue from them, and they model bad behavior | Right-click push them out (cash reward) or boxing glove at the front desk |
| Drunk | Green bubbles, staggering | Vandalism, fights, bad vibes | Push out at the street before they enter |
| Vandal | Spray can in hand | Graffiti everywhere — happiness drain | Push out; clean graffiti for bonus research points |
| Pervert | Camera in hand | Harassment, mood drain | Push out immediately |
| Panicking guest | Flailing in pool | Blocks the diving board, can drown | Push them off the board / into a life ring |
| Sick guest | Visible illness (1.0) | Sickness spreads to nearby guests | Isolate/eject; or toggle "No Guest Sickness" mode in settings if it annoys you |
| Alien abductee (event) | 1.0 random event | Comedy chaos | Just enjoy it — it's a special event |
The Hygiene Priority
Community consensus on where your cleaning attention should go:
- Water quality — matters most (watch the hygiene HUD)
- Clean slides
- Trash and puddles
- Everything else
Puddles deserve special mention: guests slip on them, ragdoll, and lose happiness — and the physics comedy gets genuinely costly when a slip chain starts. Mop aggressively, and fill trash bags completely before tossing them.
Safety & Injury Prevention
Injuries are a direct money leak (ambulances charge a fee) and a review killer:
- Never let pools run empty. Broken pools need repair AND manual refill — they do not auto-refill. Guests cannonball into the shallow bottom.
- Life preservers are cheap insurance. Throw a few rings into each pool at day start; panicking guests bump into them automatically. Unlock multi-ring stands via research.
- Diving boards need supervision — push panicking guests off quickly, or install a lifeguard.
- 1.0 breakdowns — attractions can completely break down until repaired. Fix them at closing, not during peak hours.
How Happiness Feeds the Star Rating
Happiness + cleanliness + safety + completed tasks
→ better guest reviews
→ higher star rating
→ higher ticket price you can charge
→ more profit per guest
This is why "two good pools beat four mediocre ones" is the community's favorite saying — a park that tries to do everything ends up dirty, unsafe, and low-rated.
Trouble-Shooting a Happiness Crash
| Symptom | Likely Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| --------- | -------------- | ----- |
| Reviews suddenly bad | Puddle chain or trash overflow | Janitor + aggressive mopping |
| Guests leaving early | Empty/broken attractions | Nightly hammer repairs |
| Guests angry at entrance | Wrong tickets sold | Hire a cashier NOW |
| Injuries everywhere | Empty pools | Refill + life preservers |
| Sickness spreading (1.0) | Sick guest left in crowd | Eject sick guests; consider No Guest Sickness mode |
| Food queues endless | Understaffed stalls | Vendors (Hiring Level 2) + vending machines |
